[One of the things he was expecting upon giving Luffy music to listen to: Excitement.
One of the things he wasn't expecting upon giving Luffy music to listen to: Impromptu Dance.

He makes a noise that's comparable to a dog having being woken up from a nap suddenly, and he's going to try his best, after the moment of surprise, to attempt to dance along with Luffy's really uncoordinated--and let's face it--Pirate-Style dancing.

He reaches over with a free hand to push one headphone off of one of Luffy's ears. So he can at least be heard.]

So long as I have my music player and headphones, you bet. The battery runs low sometimes, but a trip to somewhere with electricity can fix that in a second. [After all; his music player had a charge chord carrier on it's side.]

Music's my favourite thing, I'd be lost without it!

Wow, it's not easy to keep, and he's sharing that with him, just like food's scarce and he shared some of that, too.

If Luffy needed any indication that they were officially friends, Hide's given that to him in spades. There's no escaping it now. He is officially doomed to have this god damned, impossibly lucky, ridiculously dumb pirate's friendship forever. ]

Whenever you need to go to that place, I'll come along! And beat up anything that gets in your way!

[He'd never complain to winning the friendship of anyone, even if they were a little addle-brained and foolish. Luffy had a spectacular draw to him; and if he was to make a new friend; he'd literally gotten the king's share, here.]

Heh, you really don't mind? [Even after the first disaster at fighting things in the subway that turned out to be people?] I'd appreciate that. [The number of people he can rely on keeps dropping, after all. Mutsu, then Spidey, who else next.]

--Oh right. You said you came here to bring me something?

[The music on the headphones peters out, and a new song--something bright and definitely not in English starting up this time. Some infectious dance-y K-Pop song no doubt.]

[ That was an honest mistake; it had been his own idea to bring back monster meat to solve their food shortage problem, and Hide had no responsibility there. ]

Yeah! 'Sides, bet there's all kinds of interesting stuff there!

[ At this, though, Luffy ducks his head out of the headphones, pulling the drawstring loose on the rucksack he was carrying over a shoulder... and then thrusting at him what looks like a haphazardly folded bunch of cloth tied with fraying twine.

It's black, covered with a plethora of bright sunflowers.

In fact, it looks suspiciously like the shirt he'd been wearing when he first arrived, except after it's had a serious talk with a bar of soap. ]

I thought you could use this more than me!

There definitely is. A lot nicer things that here, too, to boot. [But staying over in Haven North was a little harrowing, your body didn't react good to it for too long... but Luffy would figure that out on his own, he was sure.

That wasn't important right now, though. what was important was what Luffy was holding out to him, folded somewhat neatly and tied--

He sure did recognise that shirt. He'd complimented it more than once, after all. His expression immediately widens out into a surprised, but mostly happy expression--]

--Wait, you're giving your shirt to me??

[He looks up, looking confused--] I mean, the new one you have is hilarious but-- [Are you sure?? omg]

[ He just keeps bobbing his head in the most enthusiastic nod, and if Hide doesn't reach for it sooner or later, Luffy's going to just shove it into his hands so he can't have an excuse to refuse. ]

Isn't it great?!

[ Luffy obviously likes his new shirt with sincerity, and likely because it just has what looks like a burger emblazoned on the front, even if it's just a SPAM advertisement. ]

[He's not going to answer right away, he's busy pulling off his varsity jacket, tossing it over the rail of the houses' porch as he's already pulling the thing on over a plain white t-shirt.

It fits pretty damn well, too, hanging just at the pockets of a certain pair of hideous green cargos.]

--Dude this is amazing.

Both your Burger shirt, and this. Look; it even fits!!

Even if it didn't fit, you could just wear some other stuff with it!

[ Says the guy who routinely fails to button things up, or just forgets to dress appropriately to the circumstances, period. He's satisfied with how the shirt looks on him, or seems to be, as he goes to grab his varsity jacket and hold it out for him. ]

[ And, as soon as he takes back his jacket, he's going to turn right around! ]

Yosh..! I still gotta find some stuff, Sanji says he's trying to pickle some stuff he found growing!

Always busy, even if you just got here, huh? [He couldn't help but to laugh--it was kind of good to see. Instead of people laying around and accepting their fate in Haven... actively working.]

Thanks, again. Ya came all this way just to deliver it, too. [He'll put his coat back on over it, too. It's cool enough outside.]

[ He'd proooobably need less food if he didn't run around so damn much, but if he just spent his time laying around he'd really annoy the people around him in sheer boredom. And probably go a little stir-crazy, to boot.

Luffy waves an arm with altogether too much enthusiasm. ]

Yeah! We're still looking for a way out, too. If I find out, I'll call you!
